Driving Directions
Traveling from North or South
Take the Capital Beltway Interstate – 495 to Exit 17A (Route 202/Landover Road). Go south on Route 202/Landover Road approximately 3/4 mile to Lotsford Road — the second traffic signal. Turn left onto Lotsford Road, follow for approximately 1/2 mile and turn left at the first street past the Campus Way North intersection. There is a Collington sign on either side of the entrance road.
Traveling from Washington D.C.
Travel East from the District into Maryland on New York Avenue, which becomes, U.S. Route 50 (John Hanson Highway). Follow Route50 east and take Exit 7A onto the Capital Beltway (I-495/I-95) south toward Richmond. Follow I-495/I-95 approximately 3 miles to Exit 17A, then follow Traveling from North or South directions.
Traveling from Annapolis
Take U.S. Route 50 (John Hanson Highway) west toward Washington and take Exit 7A onto the Capital Beltway (I-495/I-95) south toward Richmond. Follow I-495/I-95 approximately 3 miles to Exit 17A, then follow Traveling from North or South directions.
Navigation Tip
Some car and phone navigation systems will insert “Bowie” in place of Mitchellville, because the latter is such a small geographical area. That’s okay, as long as the zip code is correct.
Once you Arrive at the Main Gate
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Important Note: Make sure you are entering Collington’s main entrance, located off Lottsford Road, NOT the side gate located off Campus Way North
- Choose the left of the two lanes, and pull alongside the Security Station, looking for the call box below
- Press the button on the call box and identify who you are and who you are here to see (i.e., a member of the Marketing Team)
- Our 24-hour Security Team, who monitors this station, as well as the entire 126-acre campus, will remotely raise the gate for you
Proceed straight and do not make any turns.
Proceed through the second gate house and continue straight.
(Again, be sure not to make any turns.)
Follow the signs for “Marketing” and “The Clock Tower” (which is our Community Center and Main Entrance).
Once you arrive at our Clock Tower Community Center, there should be ample, complimentary parking right out front.
The Clock Tower, one of our signatures, tells you that you are in the right place. Our Main Entrance, along with our friendly Concierge, are located just below the Clock Tower.
We even have some specially-marked “Marketing Guest” parking spaces waiting just for you! Remember, our Main Entrance is located just below The Clock Tower. See you soon!
