The Chesapeake at Collington
Collington offers a range of Rehabilitation and Therapy services including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. Collington also offers a specialized physical rehab program for our homeward bound patients. Each patient is evaluated by our team of highly trained physical, occupational and speech therapists working with our nurses so we can provide personalized therapy regiments and medical care.

Therapy Services
Physical Therapy
Our physical therapists provide services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease. Therapists teach patients to use assistive and adaptive devices when necessary and show patients how to do exercises in their home to expedite their recovery.
Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapists use treatments to develop, recover or maintain the daily living and work skills of their patients. The therapists help clients not only to improve their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, but also to compensate for permanent loss of function. The goal is to help clients have independent, productive lives within their disease or disability.
Speech Therapy
Speech-language pathologists work with people who cannot produce speech sounds or cannot produce them clearly. People with stutters, voice disorders, cognitive communication impairments and cognitive disorders can greatly improve from this type of therapy. They also work with people who have swallowing difficulties, adjusting diet consistency that is appropriate at each stage of recovery.
